Dual Diagnosis
The term "dual diagnosis" refers to a broad spectrum of mental health and substance misuse problems than an individual might experience concurrently.
There are four specific LDC Networks hosted by the LDC for Dual Diagnosis issues.
These are:
1. Dual Diagnosis Trainers' network. This network supports individuals who are delivering dual diagnosis training within their organisations and acts as a forum for peer support.
2. Dual Diagnosis Specialist Practictioners' network. This network provides a forum for clinical staff to keep up to date and share experiences.
3. Dual Diagnosis Strategic network. This network targets individuals who hold strategic responsibility for dual diagnosis.
4. Generic Networks. These networks continue to raise awareness of dual diagnosis issues more widely and support the mainstreaming of dual diagnosis issues.
