This is a good starting point for local carers information and services, including respite(taking a break), group support and activity, and worker support. Most Carers Centres are run by, or linked to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers(PRTC)

Local Councils most usually provide ‘Social care’ support services for people in the community – which can include a Care Coordinator (a single named person responsible for coordinating the person’s care).

  • The Out-of-hours entry is the point found most relevant to contact them in an emergency outside weekday working hours
  • The Main entry is the front ‘Home-page’ of the Council’s website

MH / Foundation Trust:

The Mental Health/Foundation Trust is usually the largest local provider of specialist mental-health services
