Health Trainers


 

Health trainers are a workforce developed to reduce health inequalities in marginalised/hard to reach groups through encouraging and supporting behaviour change to improve health using psychological models. They undergo training which leads to City & Guilds accreditation. Their targets are largely related to physical health, such as obesity and smoking.

We are currently working collaboratively with Camden & Islington Community Mental Health Team to train a group of fifteen mental health service users as Health Trainer Champions.
