Mental Health Commissioning
Who are we?
The London Mental Health Commissioning project team are Sean Farran, Sue Christie (programme manager), Jessamy Hayes and Marco Carrera.
What do we do?
Together we run the London Mental Health Commissioner's network, a pan-London group for Lead Mental Health Commissioners from Primary Care Trusts in London and their teams to meet and discuss important developments in commissioning policy and legislation, to share best practice and discuss any early learning.
Our other work includes holding regular workshops, developing commissioners skills, publishing guidance and developing other products that are specific to commissioning mental health services in London. All have the underlying aim of helping commissioners to achieve World Class Commissioning.
Network.
We also publish a regular bulletin, Network. The first edition was published in August 2009 and all editions are available to download from the network bulletin page.
What to expect from us in 2009/2010?
The 2009/2010 programme should see the completion of two products developed in conjunction with the National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU).
These are: World Class Commissioning - A quick guide for mental health professionals (published August 2009) and The Commissioning Friend for Mental Health Services, Revised 2009 edition (published December 2009)
