New Publication - The Commissioning Friend for Mental Health Services (December 2009)

Link to The Commissioning Friend for Mental Health Services Commissioning Support for London in partnership with the National Mental Health Development Unit has published a revised and updated version of The Commissioning Friend for Mental Health Services. It is designed to support commissioners to develop their skills, knowledge and expertise in relation to commissioning mental health services. It reflects the complex landscape of mental health commissioning and covers a range of key issues to support commissioners, including key challenges for mental health commisoners, the commissioning context  and effective mental health commissioning.

August 2009 saw the launch of our first publication Mental Health World Class Commissioning: A quick guide forprofessionals. The guide has been written in conjunction with the National Mental Health Development Unit and aims to raise the awareness and knowledge of the commissioning process with clinicians and other mental health professionals to facilitate the involvement of clinicians, and other professionals, in the mental health commissioning process.

Free copies have been sent to every Primary Care Trust and Mental Health Trust (including Foundation Trusts) in London.
