Since 1 April, 2009 London Development Centre (LDC) has been one of the founding agencies of Commissioning Support for London (CSL).Until the implementation of the new structure for CSL, the LDC team will operate as a programme within CSL. Over the coming months the team will move into the new structure. We will keep you informed of developments through the website and our other communications channels.
CSL provides London's health care commissioners with a one-stop-shop, providing high quality commissioning support and advice to London's Primary Care Trusts.
Setting an ambitious programme to deliver world class health and care to the capital's residents is a big challenge - and CSL is well placed to meet this challenge as its founding organisations embrace the following London health care support organisations:

- London Health Observatory
- Commissioning Support Service
The LDC team contributes to CSL activities through stimulating, supporting and sharing best practice in service improvement and innovation. The LDC is a key contributor to London's health and well being activities encouraging and supporting service improvement on the implementation of nationally, regionally and locally led strategies.
Our activities in the LDC team include providing advice and support for service redesign; supporting action planning and implementation of improvements and delivers project management of service development. The LDC's activities are focused on Children,Families & Maternity Services, Mental Health including Equalities in Mental Health.
The LDC team works both within and beyond the NHS maintaining close working relationships with statutory, non statutory and voluntary sector organisations. Maintaining strong partnerships with service users and carers is also important to LDC as it works with London health care commissioners and, by extension, providers in their delivery of high quality care provision for Londoners.
The principles of World Class Commissioning are at the heart of all LDC activities.
