London CSIP Commissioning Programme

The Commissioning Programme focuses on core commissioning issues relevant across health and care and across all care groups, promoting commissioning as a transformational process to deliver the new agenda’s of personalisation and outcomes focused responses to needs.

The Programme works internally with CSIP’s care group programmes and with external partners such as NHS London, PCT Director’s of Commissioning and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS). It provides the development lead to the Joint Improvement Partnership’s Strategic Commissioning workstream.

The programme provides;

  • learning opportunities to commissioners in London through seminars, workshops and masterclasses
  • an electronic network of commissioners in London providing an opportunity to disseminate news items and for commissioners to connect on London based issues
  • close links with CSIP’s national Better Commissioning Programme, including the Better Commissioning Learning and Improvement Network
  • links with the DH commissioning policy teams

The London CSIP Commissioning Programme focuses on generic commissioning across health and care to achieve the health and well-being agenda.

Our focus for the people of London is on:

  • Commissioning for health and well-being
  • Personalisation – ensuring that the individual chooses appropriate health and social care  services appropriate to their individual needs

Our other programmes - eg Children and Families and NIHME- have care group specific commissioning programmes that address the challenges specific to that area of services.
