Following the development of a model Core Offer and Service Specification for London’s maternity services, NHS London agreed to fund a development project during 08-09 which will continue the focus on excellence in commissioning. CSIP is organising and facilitating the project, which is sponsored by Melanie Walker, Chief Executive of Newham PCT.

The project was launched on 6 June 2008, at an event attended by more than 50 delegates representing every professional group concerned with maternity services in London.
